Can we send SMS in Hindi or other Indian languages?
Yes — Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Kannada, Gujarati and others via Unicode SMS. Note: Unicode SMS counts as 70 chars per credit.
How much does SMS cost?
SMS credits are charged per message (typically ₹0.18–₹0.25 per credit) and bought in bulk. The SMS module itself is included in your Schoolites plan; only the SMS gateway credits are usage-based.
Do triggers fire automatically?
Yes — absent marking, fee receipt, exam publish, leave approval, holiday notice all auto-trigger SMS to relevant parents.
Should we use SMS or WhatsApp?
For critical alerts (absent, fee due, emergency) both work, but WhatsApp has 10× higher read-rates and supports rich media. Most schools start with SMS and upgrade to WhatsApp once volumes justify it.
