UDISE+ Code Change Request 2025

Request modification or correction to your school's UDISE+ code.

Important Note

UDISE codes are permanent and unique. They are NOT changed in normal circumstances. Only specific cases warrant code changes.

Valid Reasons for Code Change

  • Duplicate code assigned: Same code given to two schools
  • Wrong location code: District or block code is incorrect
  • School merged: Two schools combined need new code
  • Administrative boundary change: School moved to different district/block
  • Data entry error: Typographical error during initial registration

Request Process

  1. Prepare Written Application

    Include current code, requested change, and detailed reason

  2. Attach Supporting Documents

    Government orders, recognition certificates, proof of error

  3. Submit to Block Education Office

    BEO reviews and forwards to District

  4. District Verification

    DEO verifies and recommends to State

  5. State Level Approval

    State MIS team processes the code change

NOT Valid Reasons

  • School name change (code remains same)
  • Change in management (Govt to Private or vice versa)
  • Principal/Head change
  • Address change within same block
  • Preference for different number
