UDISE+ Merge Process

  1. Official Merger Order

    Get government order approving the merger

  2. Submit to Block/District

    Provide merger order to education authorities

  3. UDISE+ Code Decision

    Authorities decide which code continues or assign new one

  4. Data Migration

    Student and teacher data combined in new school record

  5. Old Code Deactivation

    Merged school's old code marked as inactive

Documents Required

  • Government Order for merger
  • UDISE codes of both schools
  • Combined enrollment data
  • Combined teacher list
  • New school name (if changed)
  • Physical infrastructure details of merged entity

Important Points

  • Old UDISE codes are never reused
  • Historical data of merged schools is preserved
  • Students/teachers get new school code automatically
