UDISE+ Data Freeze Guide 2025
Understanding data freeze, lock dates, and how to make corrections after freeze.
What is Data Freeze?
Data freeze is when UDISE+ locks all submitted data after the final deadline. After freeze:
- No changes can be made directly by schools
- Data becomes read-only
- Reports are generated based on frozen data
- Corrections require official request to authorities
Important Freeze Dates 2024-25

How to Request Corrections After Freeze
- Write application to Block Education Officer (BEO)
- Mention specific fields that need correction
- Attach supporting documents
- BEO forwards to District → State level
- State admin can unlock specific fields for correction
This process can take 2-4 weeks. Complete your data before freeze!
Tips to Avoid Freeze Issues
- Submit data at least 1 week before deadline
- Verify all data thoroughly before final submission
- Keep copies of all submitted data
- Check validation errors and fix them immediately
