What is UDISE+ Registration?
UDISE+ registration is the process by which a new school gets registered in the Unified District Information System for Education Plus database and receives a unique 11-digit UDISE code. This code is mandatory for all recognized schools in India.
UDISE+ Registration Process
Contact Block Education Office (BEO)
New schools cannot directly register on UDISE+ portal. You must visit your local Block Education Office (BEO) with your school recognition documents and request UDISE registration.
Submit Required Documents
Provide the following documents:
- School Recognition Certificate
- NOC from State Education Department
- Society/Trust Registration Certificate
- Land ownership/lease documents
- Building safety certificate
- Principal/Manager ID proof
- School address proof
Physical Verification
The BEO will conduct a physical verification of your school to confirm its existence, infrastructure, and compliance with education norms.
Data Entry by BEO
After verification, the BEO enters your school details in the UDISE+ portal. This includes school name, location, management type, and other basic information.
Receive UDISE Code
Once approved, you receive your unique 11-digit UDISE code. This code is your school's permanent identifier for all government records.
Receive Login Credentials
The BEO provides your UDISE+ portal login credentials (UDISE code as username and default password). Change your password immediately after first login.

UDISE registration is free of charge. It is a government service. If anyone asks for money, report to the District Education Office.
If registration is rejected, ask the BEO for specific reasons. Address the issues (missing documents, non-compliance with norms) and reapply.
