Schoolites Parent App

Attendance App for Parents — Know the Moment Your Child is Absent

Most parents only learn about a missed school day at the parent-teacher meeting. The Schoolites parent app sends a WhatsApp alert the moment your child is marked absent — so you know before lunch, not at the end of term.

Attendance shortfalls are now a serious issue — CBSE and ICSE require 75% attendance to sit the board exam, and many state boards enforce similar rules. Yet most parents discover an attendance issue only when the school sends a letter in February. The Schoolites parent app gives you a daily view, an instant alert when your child is absent, and a clear running percentage so there are no surprises in board exam year.

What you get

Built for Indian parents, on Indian phones

Concrete features — no buzzwords.

Instant absence alert

WhatsApp message within minutes of the teacher marking your child absent. Includes period and reason if known.

Running attendance %

See current percentage and how many days you can still miss without dropping below 75%. Subject-wise for senior classes.

Monthly calendar view

Green for present, red for absent, yellow for half-day, blue for leave. Tap any day to see remarks and which period was missed.

Apply for leave in the app

Submit a leave application with reason and supporting documents (medical certificate, family event). Class teacher approves or rejects with a comment.

Download attendance reports

PDF report for the term or full year. Required for board exams, sports trials, visa applications and competitive exam forms.

Biometric & RFID supported

If your school uses ZKTeco fingerprint or RFID card attendance, those entries flow directly to the app — no manual marking, no missed entries.

How it works

Three steps. No setup at your end.

1

Teacher marks attendance

Class teacher takes morning attendance in the Schoolites teacher app — usually before 9 AM.

2

You get a notification

If your child is absent, a WhatsApp message reaches you within minutes. If present, no message — to avoid notification fatigue.

3

Open Attendance tab any time

See today, this month, this term, full year — with percentages and a clear calendar.

Why this matters for Indian parents

Working parents in metro cities often see their school-age children only for an hour at night. An attendance app is the only practical way to know whether the child actually reached school, especially for children who travel alone by bus or auto.

FAQ

Questions Indian parents ask

When does the alert come — morning or evening?
Within a few minutes of the class teacher marking attendance. In most schools that is between 8:30 AM and 9:15 AM. If the teacher marks at 10 AM, you get it at 10 AM.
My child is short of attendance. Can I see exactly which days were missed?
Yes — open the calendar view in the Attendance tab. Every absent day is highlighted in red, with the reason if recorded (sick / leave / unexplained).
How is biometric attendance different?
If your school uses fingerprint or RFID, your child taps in at the school gate and the system marks attendance automatically. The app shows the exact entry time — useful for late-arrival tracking.
Can I apply for leave for next week?
Yes. Use the Apply Leave button, fill the reason and dates, and attach supporting documents (e.g., wedding card, medical certificate). The class teacher approves it.
What if the teacher marks attendance wrong?
You can raise a correction request in the app. The class teacher or principal can edit the attendance with a remark; the change is logged for transparency.
Will I get alerts during school holidays?
No. The system uses the school's academic calendar — no attendance is taken on holidays, so no alerts go out.
