Which payment gateways do you support?
We support Razorpay, PhonePe, Easebuzz, Cashfree, HDFC SmartGateway, SabPaisa, Stripe and many more. Outside India, schools usually use Stripe. Cash, cheque and POS card payments are recorded at the counter.
Which gateway should we choose?
Pick the gateway whose rates and settlement terms suit you, or the one your bank already offers. Many schools use the gateway of their main bank, such as HDFC SmartGateway. Stripe is best for parents paying from abroad.
Can we use more than one gateway?
Yes. You can enable several gateways and route payments to different merchant accounts by class or fee type.
What are the typical charges?
Charges are set by your gateway as per your merchant agreement. UPI is usually the cheapest. Schools can often negotiate rates directly with the gateway.
How fast is settlement?
Settlement time is set by your gateway and merchant agreement, usually one to three working days. The money goes straight to your school's bank account, not to Schoolites.
How are refunds handled?
Refunds are recorded in Schoolites with a voucher and reason, so fee dues and reports stay correct. The money for online payments is returned through your gateway's dashboard.
