A bonafide certificate is an official document issued by a school confirming that a student is currently enrolled and studying at that institution. Unlike a Transfer Certificate (which is issued when a student leaves), a bonafide certificate is issued while the student is still active — often multiple times during their school years for different purposes.
The word "bonafide" comes from Latin, meaning "in good faith." The certificate essentially says: this student genuinely studies here, and we can vouch for their identity and enrollment details.
