UDISE+ Aadhaar Data Entry

Guide to entering and verifying Aadhaar numbers for students and teachers in UDISE+

UDISE+ Portal

Aadhaar in UDISE+ System

UDISE+ uses Aadhaar numbers to create unique student and teacher records. This prevents duplicate entries and enables tracking across schools and states.

Note: While Aadhaar is highly recommended, it is not mandatory for UDISE+ registration. Schools can proceed with EID (Enrollment ID) for students awaiting Aadhaar.

  2. If enrollment initiated, enter EID (28 character Enrollment ID)
  3. Update Aadhaar later when available
  4. The student record remains valid without Aadhaar

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Aadhaar mandatory for UDISE+?

No. Aadhaar is recommended but not mandatory. You can submit UDISE+ data without Aadhaar for students/teachers who don't have it.

What is EID and how to get it?

EID (Enrollment ID) is the 28-character number given during Aadhaar enrollment. It's on the Aadhaar enrollment slip before the actual Aadhaar card is issued.

Can same Aadhaar be in two schools?

No. If a student transfers, their record should be transferred in UDISE+, not created new. Contact Block/District office for help with transfers.

What if Aadhaar has spelling mistake?

Enter the name exactly as it appears on Aadhaar. For corrections, parents should update Aadhaar first, then update in school records.
