How to Recover Your UDISE+ Username
If you don't remember your school's UDISE code, try these methods in order:
Check School Recognition Certificate
Your UDISE code is printed on your school's recognition certificate issued by the Education Department. Check your school office files for this document. The code is typically mentioned prominently on the certificate.
Use "Forgot Username" on the Portal
Visit udiseplus.gov.in, click "Forgot Username" on the login page, and enter your registered mobile number. The system will send your username (school code) via SMS.
Note: This only works if your mobile number is registered with UDISE+. If it fails, try the other methods below.
Use Our School Code Finder Tool

Contact Your Block Education Office (BEO)
If the above methods don't work, visit your Block Education Office (BEO) in person with your school's identity proof (registration certificate, affiliation letter, etc.). The BEO maintains a list of all school UDISE codes in the block.
Search on UDISE+ Public Portal
The UDISE+ portal has a public school search feature. Go to src.udiseplus.gov.in/searchSchool and search by your school name, state, and district to find your UDISE code.
Check Previous Year's UDISE+ Reports
If your school submitted UDISE+ data in previous years, check any printed reports, acknowledgement receipts, or emails from UDISE+ — they contain your school code.

❌ Forgot Username SMS Not Received
You used "Forgot Username" but no SMS arrived.
- Wait 5–10 minutes and check your inbox again
- Make sure the mobile number you entered is the one registered with UDISE+
- Check if your SMS inbox is full
- The registered number may belong to the previous principal — contact BEO to update it
⚠️ Mobile Number Not Registered
Portal says "Mobile number not found" when using Forgot Username.
Your mobile number might not be registered, or a different number was used during registration. Contact your Block Education Office to update the registered mobile number with valid school documents.
❌ School Not Found in Public Search
Can't find your school on the UDISE+ public search page.
- Try different spelling variations of your school name
- Select the correct state and district combination
- Search by block instead of full school name
- Your school may not yet be registered in UDISE+ — contact BEO for new registration
